Personality: Delta's interactions with his other AI siblings is very minimal onscreen. Primarily, this is due to the Director's prohibition against the fragments speaking to one another, but his desire to do so despite this prohibition allows him to speak to Theta shortly after Theta is introduced. Though he's a bit condescending, Delta also seems to know exactly the best way to talk to the other fragment, which allows Theta to become more comfortable in company and helps to build his confidence before the demonstration. Despite never having interacted with him before, Delta feels an immediate kinship with the other fragment and a desire to help and support him - something which has, in humans, only been limited to York. The other time we see him interacting with an AI is in Reconstruction, when he's explaining the Project to Church before Church's identity as the Alpha is revealed. Once again, Delta knows the right tack to take with Alpha and engages him in conversation without unduly annoying him (a rare thing where Church is concerned). Because of their shared traits, Alpha unconsciously agrees with Delta's logic on a consistent basis. He even leaves a clue for Wash that Church is not all he seems by tricking Church into displaying some AI powers. Overall, this shows an understanding of even radically different AI siblings and even a slight caring nature toward them - remarkable because of his logical approach to most other things.

This is a decent descriptor for Delta's personality in general as well: his default reaction to any given situation is the logical one, no matter how outlandish the situation can get. Logic is his cornerstone and comforts him - York remarks in Season 9 that when Delta has difficulty calming down, he'll run probability equations late into the night. No logical cause is given for his anxiety, which says something important about his emotions. They may be stunted due to the torture that forced his creation, but they're certainly there.

What is his logical approach? Typically, he's polite and well-spoken, capable of both highly technical talk and simplifying his speech for those who don't understand it. He rarely acts out of turn, instead waiting for his partner to take command in most cases. He will perform task-related objectives without being asked, though, and enjoys conversing with others who have differing points of view (when not prevented by the Director from doing so). He's not above asking when he doesn't understand a reaction, and when he feels it would be detrimental he will always use a logical argument as to why the action should be changed, rather than an emotional appeal. Still, the scope of his socialization is rather small given the circumstances under which he was created, and when faces with someone he's not comfortable interacting with (such as Caboose), he may ignore them or, at least, not directly respond to their questioning. While this doesn't exactly make him shy, it does mean he can be uncomfortable in crowds or when he's forced to interact with someone outside the scope of his experience. Needless to say, in an entirely new environment and trapped in a human body, this may be the part that is at the fore for some time...
