Although it is required under certain circumstances, this particular game mechanic is available as an option to all players who wish to use it as a springboard for in-game character development. Our decision in this case was made due to both past precedent and our belief that the player in question would use this mechanic to contribute positively to the game, and we will not be reconsidering it at this time.
