If you are hiatusing some characters and dropping others, please keep these in separate comments, as we delete drop comments after they're processed. All drops are generally processed within 24 hours, and community memberships will be purged. Please bear this in mind if you want to make a drop post on the OOC comm. HIATUS OPTIONS & TRACKING.

Please remember that all hiatus options must be posted here before the activity check period has started in order to grant special exemptions.

T H E C H O I C E S . . .

A U T O P I L O T
Grants full AC exemption for the hiatused month.

Between 1 week to 1 month.
Must cover part or all of the activity check week OR a significant portion of the month in order to grant exemption.
Can fall during any span of time ICly.
Players must determine handwaving/autopiloting as necessary.
This option CANNOT default to getting lost in the ship.

C O M A
Grants full AC exemption for the hiatused month.

Must occur jump to jump ICly, no exceptions.
Must be requested prior to the jump, or retroactively in the week following as long as characters have had no activity.
Characters will remain in their pods between jumps.
Characters can dream (content up to player), or remember nothing.

Backtag all you like while you're on coma leave, but no new threads that occur ICly during the coma month will be allowed, as your character's out for the count. Either coma option can be a great way to play catch-up on backtags and start with a clean slate!

H A L L W A Y S
Requires half AC for the hiatused month.

Network thread containing 5 comments from your character OR log thread containing 3 comments from your character.

Between 1 and 2 weeks, cannot occur during jumps ICly.
You may take this hiatus with a bit of OOC jump crossover so long as you're aware your character WILL have been back by the jump, so plan accordingly.

ex: hallway hiatus from the 1st-14th of the month means your character can be trapped in the halls either prior to the jump or after, but cannot be trapped before, back for the jump, and then trapped again.

Characters will feel that they are being watched and experience auditory hallucinations. It will be impossible for characters to determine what's actually being said, but they can fill in blanks based on their own issues.
Characters will see movement in their peripheral vision every so often, despite being completely alone.
NO COMMS ACCESS while trapped in the hallways.
Good option for a semi-hiatus, taking some of the AC load off without requiring autopilot.
