![]() Previously believed all dead, many of the Tranquility's original crew have emerged from the wreckage of the ship alongside player characters. Trained for the colonization of strange planets and knowledgeable of the tech available in the Tranquility's remains, the crew are valuable advisers, but did not escape from their experiences on the ship unscathed. Many are suffering from psychological trauma, with some more dangerously unstable than others... The crew of the Tranquility are available to be interacted with on a daily basis at player discretion, with notable incidents or messages being mod-announced. If you have a particular question or idea your character would take to a crew NPC, please fill out the form below and we will give you a framework of the interaction. NOTABLE NAMES: ■ August Ru ■ Simon Baume ![]() Boarding the Tranquility to loot it some two years ago, the crew of the Scylla knew they were making a very dangerous gamble, but had no idea of how great the cost might be. Having all died in the ensuing battles with those on board, approximately thirty emerged in the wreckage alongside the saved souls of the Tranquility's crew, and spent two months keeping their heads down as the survivors started carving out a way to live on the planet. Now banding back together, the crew of the Scylla took what resources they needed and set out to make their own camp out in the jungle a fair walk to the north of the main base camp. Understanding that cooperation is everyone's best chance at survival, the crew are willing to work with or trade with anyone willing to venture out to see them, but still hold much of the suspicious nature which had protected them from outsiders back in the Miraxian system - and some might be outright resentful of the people who they blame for their deaths... The crew of the Scylla are available to be interacted with by anyone venturing out to their camp at player discretion, with notable incidents or messages being mod-announced. If you have a particular question or idea your character would take to a Scylla NPC, please fill out the form below and we will give you a framework of the interaction. NOTABLE NAMES: ■ Logan ■ Kasey IN FUTURE it will be possible for players to apply to play a crew NPC as a Game-Native OC. Please keep your eyes peeled for announcements with further news of this! |

Kate's efforts will, for the moment, be largely unsuccessful. While questions regarding specific problems around camp or resources that could be salvaged from the ship will be met with easy answers - or directions to someone with the answers - asking the crew about themselves or their pasts on the Tranquility will have less helpful reactions.
Some of the crew will be fine in giving Kate the information she's after, but others will be notably crisp and bare-bones or refuse. As word spreads that she's asking around, she will find that many see her coming and go to lengths to avoid her, or give evasive answers before finding some reason to excuse themselves. If she asks one of the more forthcoming members as to why so many are reacting like this, it will be explained that many of the crew are simply unwilling, or not ready, to think about the Tranquility - their lives, roles, what they were trained for, and what they went through on board.
She won't be able to get enough answers to completely count how many from each department, but from the answers she does get will find it's an assorted and varied mix. She will find no word about Resnik or Ward - a few may recognise Ward's name, but won't have seen him. No one will know of Resnik.
At this time we can't give you any specific names for the more forthcoming crew members Kate will encounter. We'll be working on NPC interactivity over the next month, including fleshing out some faces, so please keep an eye out for developments in this regard to give Kate some targets for her follow-up questions!
